Butterfly Card

Butterfly Card

Hello everyone!
Here is a card I made that quickly and tried a few different things. I am not sure if I like the outcome, but it is different. I used lace, flowers (as usual), 3D butterfly, and I handwrote Butterfly. My handwriting did not come out as good as I wanted, but it'll do. :)

And on a side note, Blogger won't let me share my posts with my communities on Google+. I used to be able to share to "Cardmaking Communities" with my blogger account being linked to Google+ and now it will only let me share to "Public" only.

Any insight on this?

Baby Shower Card

Baby Shower Card
Hello all!

Here is a quick example of an easy watercoloring technique I wanted to try. I am not entirely sure if I did it correctly, but the card still came out cute! I used this card for a baby shower I missed...I sent the card haha!

I saw the example on Instagram:
1) get a clear plastic baggy
2) color streaks on the baggy using water color markers
3) spray water  onto the baggy and place the baggy over your card and slightly smear the colors
4) use papertowels to wipe off the excess water on your card

I thought it was a cute and quick technique...something the kids could do...or me!! :)

Here is a cute Owl card that was meant for Valentine's Day but I didn't get around to posting it until now. Oops! I used metallic embossed paper, beaded twigs, 3D stickers, flowers and some leaves. This card came out nice...I just wish I would've made it a little bigger!

Happy Birthday Card for Goosebump Kids

Happy Birthday Card
Goosebumps!!

Hello all!

After a few suggestions, I was able to come up with two cards for my son's birthday. I am showing the first one today and will show the other one in a few days. I hope you like it. My son liked it. I tried making it similar to the Goosebumps theme and kid friendly. I used krafting paper for the card and embossing powder for the words Happy Birthday. I basically held the heating gun closer to the powder to create the bubbly look and then shadowed the words with some yellow and blue paint which created a cool toxic green. I also used a cute little woodchip Frankenstein cutout. He is more adorable than scary but it was the closest thing I could find that looked like a monster but appropriate for a birthday card.

Rosie with the Card
And, I don't know if you remember Rosie from a while ago when my cat decided to pop out Rosie's eye...but she had surgery and her eye is fixed. This all occurred a while ago. Here she is now, grown up and holding the card I made. She is my model for the day!

Pink LOVE Card

Pink Love Card
Hello!
Here is a pink themed card I made for Valentine's Day but didn't post until now. Haha! This card is normally how I decorate my cards so it was nothing new and not hard to do at all! I love rhinestone ribbon, tulle, and flowers! The only thing I was really missing was...glitter!
On a side note: my son's 12th birthday is coming up and I have trouble making "male" cards. Does anyone have any suggestions or inspiration for some cards for him? He loves to read and he is a fan of goosebumps.
So any suggestions would be great!

Valentine's Day Card

Valentine's Day Card
Here is a Valentine's Day card I made with recycled cardboard paper. The cardboard actually came from a soap gift box I received from Christmas and decided to recycle the cute design instead of throwing it out. I basically just folded the cardboard and decorated the card with some cute stickers I had randomly stashed and of course some flowers!
